I made this drawing of Rodan way months ago, instead of looking like a Pterodactyl i made him look like a dragon. This is one of my favorite drawings i made so far. And i think it turned out nice.
Story:
In 1956 strange things were happening in the Japanese mines. Miners were being attacked and killed by giant insect called meganula. Some explorers managed to survive, but some weren't so lucky. A man was found in the tunnels wounded, the explorers brought him back to safety. As the man was in hospital room, he remembered about the thing that he saw in the caverns. Something that shocked him and gave him Nightmares.
He told the Japanese investigators what he saw, and told the he saw a prehistoric monster. They called the monster Rodan, a monster that travels at super sonic speed. The team went to the caverns were the man saw the monster. Then they saw Rodan coming out of the caverns, but there was not one but two.
The two flying monster began to make their way into Tokyo and started causing a huge amount of destruction. The two beasts destroyed everything in their path with their powerful winds they made. No one was safe from the two monsters, after the destruction the two beasts went back to their caverns. The JSDF had a plan to get rid of the two monsters, they deploy Missile Launchers which pound the volcanic mountain and cause an eruption. The Rodan's tried to escape but they died in the molten rock.
Eight years later a new Rodan had appeared and battled Godzilla as the two fought, They were interrupted by Mothra. She tells them that the three must join forces in order to defeat King Ghidorah. At first Godzilla and Rodan didn't listen, but then when Mothra was being beaten and almost killed by King Ghidorah.
Godzilla and Rodan both saved Mothra the three joined forces and they were able to drive off King Ghidorah. As the battle ended the three Beast's returned home.
In 1993 Rodan had found a good home. Until an exploring team discovered an egg in an island. Rodan tried to protect the egg, but then Godzilla appeared and the two beast's fought. Godzilla defeated Rodan.
Rodan was knocked out on the beach and, due to radiation exposure transforms him into Fire Rodan. The newly charged pterosaur flew into the sea inorder to retrieve the egg. Rodan discovered the ship that was transporting the egg, and quickly destroys it and tries to carry the egg to safety.
But then SMG-II soon arrived, and Rodan turned its attention to this new foe. Rodan used his Uranium Heat Ray, but it had little effect on the machine.
SMG-II quickly defeated Rodan, until Godzilla appeared to fight SMG-II. Godzilla was out powered by the machine until Baby Godzilla cried out to Rodan, to help Godzilla. Rodan gave up most of his energy to revive and enhance Godzilla. Rodan vanished and Godzilla with his new powers destroyed SMG-II.
In 2004 Rodan assault New York City, and he easily annihilated everything in its path with its sonic booms. The Earth Defense Force was quick to respond to the threat, and soon released their aerial war-machine, to battle Rodan. Rodan later vanished, then was set loose again this time he was controlled by the Xillians.
Godzilla was set free until in Mt. Fuji he bumped into Rodan, Anguirus and King Ceaser. Godzilla Defeated them and he later destroyed the mothership of the Xillians.
Rodan and the other monsters were free and they went to find their new homes. In 2014 Rodan would later join Godzilla and the other monsters to combat an even greater threat. Rodan lived with the other monsters on monster island were they would live in peace.
Personality: Rodan is a solitary kaiju, and is very watchful to keep on eye out for any intruders who dare to come to his new home. He has a bond with Godzilla which they are brothers and are always protective to each other.
Height: 50 meters
Wingspan: 120-150 meters
Mass: 15,000 tons
CLASSIFICATION: Warrior
